Trading at Isle of Wight Takeover

ABOUT THE SHOW...

The Isle of Wight Takeover (referred hereafter to as ‘Takeover’) is a car event held over two days showcasing a number of modified/performance enhanced cars alongside other show vehicles (including prestigious, classic, and ‘cult’ models).

The show, now heading into its 5th year, is a predominantly static car show where owners from all over the UK have the opportunity to show off their vehicle not only to other owners, but also to the general public. The show attracts groups and owners’ clubs from all over the UK who travel and exhibit together, grouped together on site with the other members of their club/group. The exhibitor might just arrive by themselves, but usually they bring a partner/wife, friend (or friends!), and we frequently see a whole family arrive to show off their vehicle!

With such a mixture of owners who are all united by a love for their cars, we take pride in Takeover being a family friendly event at its core, with a great atmosphere that is suitable for all ages.

The objective of the team who created the Takeover events is to deliver a show which brings something different to the island, standing out from an ever-growing events calendar by offering a unique sight, sound, and experience which appeals to people of all ages.

 

The event is believed to be unique and the team behind Takeover have found their show to be massively popular amongst the numerous ‘car scenes’ here on the island and across the UK. Previous shows have seen some car clubs travel over from countries across Europe to exhibit; one such club from Germany attended Takeover 2018 for the first time and enjoyed it so much that they immediately rebooked to come back and exhibit at the 2019 and now, the 2021 show, bringing more members/vehicles from their club each year.

In addition to raising the profile of the Isle of Wight as a destination with a whole-new cross-section of potential holidaymakers, the Takeover event contributes positively in so many ways to the local economy, which we feel is even more fundamental now in the aftermath of the pandemic.

 

HOW DOES THE SHOW WORK...

While it doesn't directly affect you as a trader, it is important you know how the show works. The
event itself is divided into 2 main sections. These are our Show Area and Trade Village which is surrounded by our second section the Car Club Area. The Show Area & our Trade Village are located together, these consist of all our traders, our food vendors and Main sponsors displaying their vehicles. The second area is made up of exhibitors vehicles.

After having to postpone events from 2020 we thought it would be only right to keep costs at a minimum,  here are our packages up for grabs.

Your stand will consist of an allocated 3x5m space for your trade stand and space
for 1 display vehicle. Outdoor trader transportation vehicle can be
stored behind your trade space.

TRADE PACKAGE 2

TRADE SPACE: 6X5M
LOCATION: TRADE AREA
WRISTBANDS INCLUDED: 4
DISPLAY VEHICLES: 2

Your stand will consist of an allocated 6x5m space for your trade stand and space
for 2 display vehicles. Outdoor trader transportation vehicle can be
stored behind your trade space.

WRISTBANDS INCLUDED: 6
DISPLAY VEHICLES: 3

Your stand will consist of an allocated 10x5m space for your trade stand and space
for 3 display vehicles. Outdoor trader transportation vehicle can be
stored behind your trade space.

All members of staff and display vehicle owners must have a wristband. Trader
wristbands can be added to your purchase via the application form at the end of this
brochure. We advise all traders purchase wristbands before entering the show for faster
entry. Additional discounted bands will not be available after the completion of your
trade form.

  • Have your business logo on the wristband worn by all attendees on the day.

  • A single page featured about your business (provided by you) in our show guide booklet distributed to all attendees.

  • Your logo added to our website with a link to your website.

  • Announcements made on all forms of our social media you will be supporting TAKEOVER.

  • First option on sponsoring Takeover 2022

ELECTRICY SUPPLY AND HIRE PRICES

Please notify us in advance if you require electricity for you stand so that we can provide you with a quote.


All electricity will be provided by Spyder UK, subcontracted by Takeover.

Private generators are NOT permitted.

Once you have paid your pitch fee, electricity (and any other charges) then all turnover is yours – we will not take a percentage of your earnings during the event unless discussed and agreed in advance.
